Top three teams prevailed Friday again in the 18th-round matches
of the Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA), with others
being settled down for trophy-less positions on the standings.
Leader Guangdong Hongyuan used its second-string team for half
of the game to defeat Dongguan New Century 120-106 at home.
Center Yi Jianlian had 19 points and eight rebounds in 21
minutes, leading seven Guangdong players in double figures.
Bayi Fubang scored its 11th consecutive win with a 117-82
victory over Zhejiang Guangsha, led by guard Li Nan's 21 points and
eight rebounds.
Starters Wang Zhizhi and Mo Ke had 15 points each as they rested
for most of the time in the second half.
Jiangsu Dragons won over Jilin Northeast Tigers on the road with
125-109.
Jilin's Wang Bo had triple-doubles -- 13 points, 12 rebounds and
11 assists, but not enough when three Dragon's players had 20-plus
games, led by point guard Hu Xuefeng's 26 points, seven rebounds,
eight assists and five steals.
In Firday's other matches, Shanghai Sharks beat Zhejiang
Cyclones 109-90, Fujian SBS defeated Yunnan Honghe 107-99, Xinjiang
Guanghui beat Shanxi Zhongyu 118-94, Beijing Ducks defeated Shannxi
Hans 108-94 while Liaoning Hunters beat Guangdong Flaming Bulls
102-96.
