Chinese women volleyball team head coach Chen Zhonghe on Tuesday announced the 12-strong line-up for the upcoming world championships in Japan.

It will be the first time for Wang Yimei, Li Juan, Chu Jinling and Xu Yunli to compete in world championships. Injury-hit spiker Zhao Ruirui will miss the tournament.

Chen Zhonghe said that his team is in better form now and will play all out from the very beginning to achieve good results.

Team: Feng Kun, Song Nina, Yang Hao, Wang Yimei, Li Juan, Chu Jinling, Liu Yanan, Zhang Ping, Xu Yunli, Zhou Suhong, Li Shan, Zhang Na.

The world championships will kick off on October 31. The Chinese players will fly to Japan on Thursday.
