The Yunnan Bulls secured the last berth in the domestic
basketball CBA League's play-off season, despite a 138-110 loss to
the Jiangsu Dragons.
The Dragons were too strong to hold as five of their players
scored double figures, outshining Yunnan's Waldon B.B., who chipped
in a game-high of 35 points.
Despite this loss, Yunnan joined Jiangsu to enter the CBA
play-off season at the cost of Shanghai, its nearest rival in the
South Conference.
The Shanghai Sharks suffered a fourth consecutive loss, beaten
by the visiting Fujian Xunxing, 105-93.
This is their fourth time that they have failed to reach the
post season since Shanghai star center Yao Ming left for the
American NBA.
Defending champions Guangdong Southern Tigers defeated the
Zhejiang Cyclones 117-111 and traditional powerhouse Bayi Rockets
smashed Dongguan 126-100.
In the North Conference, Beijing, and Jilin have also made the
playoffs, beating Shaanxi and Hennan respectively yesterday.
