Chinese diver Chen Ruolin led all the way to win the women's 10m platform final at the Olympics Thursday evening.
The 19-year-old reigning champion impressed spectators with her stable performances, scoring above 84 points from four of her five dives to pull away from the others.
She stamped her authority with a clear last dive, two and a half somersault with one and a half twists, to collect 422.30 points in total.
Australian Brittany Broben took the silver medal with a margin of 55.8 points to Chen, while the bronze was snatched by Pamg Pandelela Rinong from Malaysia with 359.20 points.
Hu Yadan, 15, Guangzhou Asian Games champion, was too nervous to finish 9th as she nailed down only 54.00 and 43.20 points in the first two dives.
The youngest competitor stunned people with the highest 89.10 point in the fourth dive, the most difficult 207 C that featured three and a half somersault with tuck, which was not enough for a podium.
