Dear Sir:

I just want to let you know that Liu Xiang is now one of my hero's. I recently saw what he has been through with the problems with his Achilles tendon and everything he did for recovery. To have it cause problems again at these Olympics is heartbreaking.

I listened to his interview before the hurdles came up and was inspired by his message. He may not have won the gold medal, but he is worth more than any gold medal.

Congratulations to the people of China and the Chinese athletes for the medals won and the medals they will win.

Our countries may not see eye to eye on politics, but people of our countries are our most precious assets, not politics.
