Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo has visited members of the Chinese sports delegation in London Olympic Village.
He extended cordial greetings and good wishes to the delegation on behalf of the Communist Party of China, Central Committee and State Council. He encouraged them to pursue the Olympic spirit of "higher, faster and stronger" and strive for success.
Dai characterized the large delegation of 621 members as both athletes and envoys of friendship. He told the athletes to show the positive attitude and confidence of the Chinese people to the whole world. Dai also visited athletes' dormitories and the main dining hall in the Olympic Village. He will attend the opening ceremony on Friday.
