FC Porto James Rodriguez (L) fights for the ball with Eduardo of Shakhtar Donetsk during their UEFA Champions League group G soccer match held at Dragao stadium, Porto, Portugal, 13 September 2011.

In the match of the Brazilian players, Porto defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 as the Portuguese side was considered favorite after winning last year's Europa League and confirmed playing better.

It was the Champions League game with more Brazilian players, five at Porto and five at Shakhtar. All the Shakhtar's forwards were Brazilians. Porto started the match with only one Portuguese player, the midfielder Joao Moutinho. Shakhtar had three players from Ukraine.

It was the second time the two teams faced each other. In 1984, Porto eliminated Shakhtar from the Champions League quarterfinals.

The game started with stronger attack from Porto. In the 8th minute, Colombian James Rodrigues was brought down in the box. For the penalty kick, Brazilian Hulck hit the left post and lost the opportunity.

And it was the Ukrainian that took the advantage. In the 11th minute after a strong kick from Willian, Porto's goalkeeper Helton did not hold the ball and Luiz Adriano scored Shakhtar's first goal.

The equalizer came in the 28th minute, in a free kick 35 meters from the goal by Brazilian Hulk.

In the 39th minute Shakhtar was reduced to 10 players as Ukrainian defender Rakitskiy received a red card for a foul on Moutinho.

Playing against ten, Porto reinforced the domain. In the 51st minute, James Rodrigues took the ball in the left and crossed to Brazilian Kleber who scored Porto's second goal.

In the 85th minute, Shakhtar was reduced to nine as defender Chygrynskyi received a red card after a foul on Angolan Djalma.
