Asia's rising stars gather at PGM-ADT-CCM Impian Classic

Asia's rising stars will be on parade at the PGM-ADT-CCM Impian Classic which starts at the Impian Golf and Country Club on Thursday.
The newest RM200,000 (approximately US$67,000) Asian Development Tour event has attracted many of the region's promising talents, including Malaysia's upcoming players Sukree Othman, Mohd Ilyia Jamil and Kemarol Bahrain.
China's Ye Jian-feng, winner of the China Amateur Open in 2008, will be one of the names to follow at the Impian Classic. The talented Ye made a name for himself on the Asian Tour in 2004 when he became the youngest player at 13 years and 20 days to play in the Sanya Open in China.
Based in the United States, Ye trains at the Butch Harmon School of Golf and has been widely tipped to emulate the success of his mentor and idol Zhang Lian-wei, who is a five-time winner on the Asian Tour.
Singapore's Quincy Quek and Goh Kun Yang, highly rated after solid amateur careers, will also feature in the Impian Classic along with Michael Tran of Vietnam, Chinese Taipei's Hsu Chia-jen, who finished second on the Asian Development Tour Order of Merit last season, and Sri Lanka's Mithun Perera.
Established Malaysians, Danny Chia, Airil Rizman, Ben Leong and Iain Steel, will also feature in the four-day tournament along with reigning Asian Development Tour number one S. Siva Chandhran and Akhmal Tarmizee, who finished third.
The fledgling Asian Development Tour was launched last season with the aim of creating a new playing platform for emerging stars in the region to cut their professional teeth.
The top-three players will subsequently earn playing rights on the Asian Tour.
The Impian Classic is organised by the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Tour.
