The German national team defeated Kazakhstan 4-0 as expected thanks to two goals by striker Mirsolav Klose and youngster striker Thomas Mueller each in qualifying for the 2012 European Championship on Saturday.
The win helps Germany keep a perfect record in the campaign.
Klose scored three minutes into the game, Mueller added two more before halftime and Klose completed Germany's fifth win in five qualifying games late in the match.
"The first half was very good, we scored three goals and produced a bunch of scoring opportunities whereas in the second half we failed to succeed with effective soccer," German coach Joachim Loew said after the match.
Germany tops Group A with 15 points, while Kazakhstan has no points and no goals at the bottom of the group. Austria is second at seven points and next plays Germany.
