Dortmund at best to win at Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich suffered a bitter 3-1 defeat at home Allianz Arena against Bundesliga leader Dortmund on Saturday.
In the other matches, Mainz midfielder Elkin Soto shocked Hoffenheim with his late winner. Schalke lost points against Nurmeberg due to a draw while Hannover got three points two minute before final whistle against St. Pauli.
Dortmund worked out an outstanding 3-1 victory over record champion Bayern. Bayern seemed exhausted after the thrilling match against Inter Milan at Champions League since they were absolutely unable to break through Dortmunds aggressive pressing.
With nine minutes into the match, Dortmund striker Lukas Barrios opened the scoring, but Bayern seemed unimpressed and scored the leveller six minutes later through midfielder Luiz Gustavo after a corner.
Three minutes later Dortmund youngster midfielder Nuri Sahin flabbergasted the host when as he curled the ball into top left corner to mark the 2-1 lead. Bayern recovered from the shock but was unable to level up with faultless Dortmund.
With 60 minutes into the match defender Mats Hummels killed the game thanks to his unstoppable header into top left after a corner.
"Dortmund scored the goals at the right moment since we failed to convert our opportunities. It is a deserved victory for Dortmund because we were unable to break through their defence and pressing," Bayern head coach Louis van Gaal said after the loss.
Bayern slipped from the third to the fourth along 42 points whereas Dortmund occupies first position with 58 points and 13-point gap.
Mainz shocked Hoffenheim in front of home crowd with a late winner. Austrian international, and Mainz midfielder Andreas Ivanschitz smoothed the way for the victory at the 23rd minute when he utilized an assist at penalty line to slot home into bottom left.
It had to come the 83rd minute until Hoffenheim levelled the score through youngster midfielder David Alaba who netted a rebound from close distance. Only three minutes later Mainz midfielder Elkin Soto destroyed all hopes by Hoffenheim for a draw when he exploited a corner to mark the winner.
Nuremberg extended their undefeated streak to six, thanks to a draw at Schalke. Nuremberg scored the flattering lead at the 37th minute through midfielder Jens Hegler who exploited a rebound to stun pressing Schalke.
After the break, Schalke kept it bowling and was rewarded by Spanish veteran striker Raul who slotted the equalizer at the 52nd minute from inside-left penalty area. Schalke pressed dominantly for the equalizer but Dutchmen striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar and striker Raul failed to convert the opportunities also Nuremberg failed to convert goal-scoring scenes in the dying minutes of the match. Schalke sits on 10th position whilst Nuremberg sticks on eighth position with 36 points.
Hamburg was also held to a 1-1 draw at Kaiserslautern after intense 90 minutes. Kaiserslautern midfielder Adam Hlousek astonished Hamburg with the opener but with nine minute into second half midfielder Marcell Janes netted the deserved equalizer after a terrific combination.
German international, and Cologne striker Lukas Podolski donated his team three points against Freiburg due to his successful lob from inside penalry area two minutes before final whistle. It it's the fourth consecutive undefeated match for Cologne.
Hannover defender Christian Schultz scored the only goal of the match against St. Pauli in the dying minute of the game to seal three points for his side.
Already on Friday Wolfsburg defeated bottom team Monchengladbach 2-1 to climb from 15th to 14th position with 26 points whilst Monchengladbach stays on last position with only 19 points out of 24 matches.
Frankfurt will host struggling Stuttgart while struggling Bremen will face second positioned Leverkusen on Sunday.
