Fabregas injury not serious

Durban - Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been cleared of a serious leg injury ahead of Wednesday's World Cup semi-final match against Germany after being hurt in training.
The Spanish football federation said Fabregas had scans on his right leg after hurting it in a closed training session on Monday.
"The tests rule out any type of bone injury, so the player could be available to play against Germany," the federation said Tuesday in a statement. "He is not ruled out for the game tomorrow."
Fabregas fractured a bone in his right leg in March and had played only twice before the tournament in South Africa.
He had been in contention to start the game at Moses Mabhida Stadium before the injury, with striker Fernando Torres struggling to find form since undergoing knee surgery in April.
The 23-year-old Fabregas has played a total of 93 minutes in three of Spain's five matches so far. He impressed in the quarter-final win over Paraguay as a second-half replacement for Torres.
If Fabregas is ruled out and Torres benched, David Silva could start the game. The newly signed Manchester City midfielder hasn't played since starting in the opening group defeat to Switzerland.
The winner will face either the Netherlands or Uruguay in Sunday's final at Johannesburg's Soccer City stadium.
