S.A. football lacks attack, says coach

Pitso Mosimane, coach of South Africa's national football team Bafana Bafana is happy to have beaten Niger 2-0 on Saurday night, he admitted on Monday that there were flaws in the side's attacking unit.
According to Sport24 in South Africa, Bafana Bafana dominated the encounter against the West Africans on Saturday night.
However, the 2-0 winners scoreline heavily flattered the visitors, who lack any bite going forward and were a disaster at the back.
South Africa's Steven Pienaar was allowed the freedom of the park along with Siphiwe Tshabalala, while many chances were presented to South African strikers Katlego Mphela and Bernard Parker.
Niger coach Harowna Doulla seemed in awe of Bafana's firepower,admitting: "The South African players are very skillful and you could see that we were outplayed in midfield, because they are just too skillful."
Mosimane said that his key players didn't come to the party often enough in front of goal.
"It's strange," said the coach, commenting on the easy chances that were not converted by his team.
"The second goal by Bernard Parker was a brilliant one. It was a very difficult execution. But we can't finish the easy ones. In the training sessions we worked on finishing, finishing, finishing.
"But we have to be patient - a little bit of maturity and experience is needed."
While victory over Niger was a good start to Bafana's qualifying campaign for the 2012 African Cup of Nations, it was not a great start.
With defending champions Egypt set to tackle the national team in March next after South Africa's date with Sierra Leone, the group may just be decided on "finishing, finishing, finishing", said Sport24.
