Li joins Zheng to reach 2nd round

Li Na of China moved to the second round at Wimbledon with a straight-sets victory over South African wild card Chanelle Scheepers in London on Tuesday.
The ninth-seeded Li, a quarterfinalist at Wimbledon in 2006, defeated Scheepers 7-6 (5), 6-2 in one hour, 22 minutes, joining fellow Chinese Zheng Jie in the second round.
Zheng, a semifinalist in 2008, saw off the challenge of France's Pauline Parmentier, 7-5, 6-4.
