Germany comfortably beat Hungary 3- 0 on Saturday in a World Cup warmup match.

The Germans, in their penultimate warmup game for the World Cup in South Africa had few problems against a disappointing Hungary side. Lukas Podolski scored from a penalty in the fourth minute to set Germany on their way.

Mario Gomez made the game safe in the 69th minute while Cacau added a third four minutes later.

Hungary, who failed to qualify for the World Cup, offered little throughout the game. Their best chance came in the closing minutes of the game when Balazs Dzudzsak shot wide following a deflected shot from substitute Janos Lazok.

Germany will play Bosnia-Herzegovina in Frankfurt on Thursday in its last warmup before leaving for South Africa, where it will be in Group D with Australia, Serbia and Ghana.
