South Africa's national football team, Bafana Bafana, will not win the FIFA World Cup which kicks off in Johannesburg on June 11, the head coach Carlos Alberto Parreira said on Thursday.
At a media briefing after a training session in Johannesburg, Parreira said the confidence in the squad was sky high and they would not be an "easy target".
"However, I am realistic that Bafana will not win the World Cup, " the South African Press Association (SAPA) quoted him as saying.
Bafana play Mexico in the opening Group A match at Soccer City on June 11, then play two former world champions, Uruguay at Loftus and France in Bloemfontein, to complete their group fixtures.
