The Chinese women's national soccer team will play a friendly against Canada in Chongqing on Saturday to tune up for the coming Asian Cup tournament.
The Chinese women players who arrived in Chongqing in early April, had played a string of friendlies since the end of last year, and will play Thailand twice after the China-Canada match, said Xu Yuan, a member of the Chinese team.
Both Canada and Thailand were picked for the friendlies due to their similar styles to Australia and Vietnam, China's two rivals in the group of the Asian Cup which will be kicked off on May 19 in neighboring Chengdu.
"All of us will try our best in the Asian Cup, a qualifying tournament for the women's World Cup," said Xu, "And our team are trying to map out different attacking styles."
