World fastest man Usain Bolt will run his first 200m race of the season on May 1 at the Jamaica International Invitational, according to the organizers.
The Jamaican sprinter will face American Wallace Spearmon in the 200m race at the Jamaica International Invitational, which is an IAAF Area Permit Meeting, confirmed by the meet director Donald Quarrie on Friday.
"We are looking forward to an outstanding race between Usain and Wallace ... And we hope the times will create some excitement for the crowd," Quarrie said.
Bolt is the reigning world record holder in the 100m and 200m, in times of 9.58 and 19.19 seconds respectively set at the 2009 world championships in Berlin. He also won the 100m and 200m in the 2008 Olympics and was a member of the Jamaican 4x100m team that captured the gold medal and set a world record.
Spearmon finished third in the 200m in the World Championships in Berlin last year.
