American Shani Davis won the men's 1,000m speed skating gold medal at the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games on Wednesday.

Davis clocked in a winning time of 1:09.12, beating South Korean Mo Tae-Bum and fellow American Chad Hedrick to second and third respectively.
