2. Bolt shatters world record with 9.58 second finish

Triple Olympic champion Usain Bolt of Jamaica set a new world record of 9.58 seconds in the men's 100m at the Berlin World Championships August 17. The Jamaican sprinter also clocked in at 19.19 seconds to break his own record of 19.30 in the men's 200 meters.
