Sun Yang from China stormed home in Games' record to win the men's 400m freestyle gold medal at the East Asian Games on Thursday.

Sun was timed at 3:46.16, followed by Sho Uchida of Japan at 3:51.36. The bronze medal was taken by Jang Sangjin of South Korea at 3:51.91.
