Ungraceful Mourinho suspended for one match
Adjust font size:

Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho Monday was sentenced to one-game suspension plus 15,000 euros (about 21,900 U.S. dollars) fine for insulting the referee during the weekend's Italian Serie A game.

During Inter's 2-1 away victory over Cagliari on Sunday, a home side defender harshly floored Inter striker Mario Balotelli in the second half, but was not booked by referee Daniele Orsato.

The Portuguese coach thus abused the referee before being dismissed. It was his third dismissal since he began coaching Inter last season and the second he received from Orsato.

The sports judge, which fined and suspended Mourinho, also handed Roma a 15,000 euros fine because their fans exploded about 20 firecrackers and smoke bombs during a game with Fiorentina.
