Fernando Alonso of Spain won the second practice in front of his home crowd in Valencia for the Formula One European Grand Prix on Friday.

The double world champion for Renault completed the street circuit with a quickest time of one minute and 39.404 seconds. Brawn GP's Formula One championship leader Jenson Button was second fastest, with Brazilian team mate Rubens Barrichello third.

Barrichello set the pace in the morning with a time of 1:42.460.
