Point guard Jason Kidd re-signed with the Dallas Mavericks for three years, the NBA team said on Saturday.
Dallas media reported that the deal is worth at least 25 million US dollars.
Kidd, 36, originally drafted by the Mavericks in 1994, returned to the team in 2008, and helped Dallas compile a 50-32 regular-season record, averaging nine points, 6.2 rebounds and 8.7 assists in 81 starts.
Kidd became the fourth NBA player to reach 10,000 career assists when he had 15 against Toronto in March.
A 15-year pro, he has been an NBA first-team all-star five times and has two Olympic gold medals.
