Cruzeiro of Brazil and Estudiantes of Argentina will go on to play the first leg of the 50th final of the Copa Libertadores.
The game scheduled on Wednesday in Argentina has been in doubt due to the H1N1 outbreak in the country.
Cruzeiro officials, who asked the first leg be postponed or played at a different location acknowledged Monday it was likely to go ahead as scheduled.
The venue is set for La Plata, Argentina, located about 55 kilometers southeast of Buenos Aires. The second leg will be played July 15 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Estudiantes captured the championship in 1968, 1969 and 1970 while Cruzeiro became champion in 1976 and 1997.
