Chinese women shooters took the limelight of the 2009 ISSF World Cup in Beijing on Sunday by taking both titles on offer.

In the men's action, Rashid Yunusmetov of Kazakhstan led all the way in the final to claim the 50m pistol gold.

China's Yin Wen shot a total of 503.4 points in the women's 10m air rifle Sunday afternoon for her third World Cup win in a row this season.

Following victories in the 10m air rifle and 50m rifle 3 positions last week at the opening World Cup stop in Changwon, South Korea, Yin led teammate Yi Siling to a 1-2 finish at the Olympic Shooting Range of Beijing.

"I am glad to start this season with several wins, I will try my best to keep in the same level the rest of the season," said Yin, who had lost to Du Li in the contention for a Beijing Olympic ticket last summer.

Du, who won this event at the Beijing Games, is missing from this season's World Cup competitions. The dual Olympic champion will focus on the preparations of the Chinese National Games which is slated for October.

"Despite the victories in Changwon, I found some of my weak points and tried to improve on that before the Beijing stage. I am happy with my improvement," Yin added. "I think good mentality also helped me win through."

Beijing Olympics bronze winner Snjezana Pejcic of Croatia kept China from a clean sweep of the medals by taking the bronze with 500.7 points, edging Chinese Wang Bingying to the fourth by 0.2 points.

Earlier on Sunday, Chinese newcomer Zhao Xu came from behind to snatch the gold of the 25m pistol.

Trailing qualification leader Lalita Yauhleuskaya by five points, Zhao upset the Sydney Olympic bronze medallist from Australia for her first World Cup title with a terrific performance in the final, where she shot personal best of 207.6 points.

"It's a sweet surprise for me. I had never participated in any World Cup event, so I was more than happy when I made it into the final," said the 20-year-old Zhao, who squeezed into the eight- member medal round after winning a shoot-off in the qualifications.

"In the final, I was under no pressure at all and I just tried my best," she added.

Zhao finished with a total score of 787.6 points to beat Yauhleuskaya by 0.5 points.

The bronze medal went to Viktoria Chaika of Belarus, who led all the way in the final before scoring a fatal 7.2 in her last shot to surrender the title to Zhao.

Yunusmetov, who took the 50m pistol silver in the World Cup here last season, moved one step up as he shot a total of 660.5 points to win the same event this year, beating Pavol Kopp of Slovakia to the second place on 657.1.

"I am happy to win, but my performance in the final was bad," said Yunusmetov, the Doha Asian Games runner-up who managed just 92. 5 points in Sunday's final.

Beijing Olympics bronze medallist Vladimir Isakov of Russia was third with 654.5 points while the fourth place went to Chinese Shi Xinglong, who won a shoot-off over Tanyu Kiriakov from Bulgaria.
