Injuries to midfield duo Andres Iniesta and Toure Yaya cast a slight cloud over the Primera Liga leaders emphatic 6-0 win at home over Malaga on Sunday.
Iniesta, who had been influential in the win, was forced to leave the field following his side's sixth goal. The midfielder limped out of the game holding his right thigh and tests later confirmed a slight muscle tear in his groin.
The club website informed that he will be out of action for the next two weeks.
That means he will be forced to withdraw from the Spain national team, for the two World Cup qualifying matches against Turkey. He will be an important absence for Spain coach Vicente del Bosque.
Meanwhile Iniesta could also miss his team's next Primera Liga game, which is away to Valladolid in two week's time.
Toure had to leave the field after just 23 minutes after a heavy tackle from Malaga left back Nacho. Barcleona confirmed that he has suffered a groin injury and will also be out for 15 days.
He will now be unable to play for Cote d'Ivoire in its international matches.
Finally Xavi Hernandez suffered a slight injury to his Achillestendon, but will travel to Madrid to meet up with the rest of the Spanish international team this Monday.
