Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has been suspended for three Premier League matches after being found guilty of violent conduct by the Football Association. The 27-year-old Wright-Phillips was charged after kicking Stoke's Rory Delap during City's 0-1 loss on December 31.
Referee Martin Atkinson missed the incident, which came amid a red card for Delap, who had reacted to a sliding challenge by Wright-Phillips on Matthew Etherington. He will miss City's matches against Portsmouth, Liverpool and at West Ham on March 1.
