Brazil begins hunt for eighth volleyball World League

After learning their first opponents in the World League of men's volleyball, Brazil's head coach Bernardinho announced Thursday to bring in unknown talent to the national team.

This year's intercontinental tournament will take place throughout the globe. However, the finals will be held in Belgrade, Serbia.

Brazil will face Finland and Venezuela on June 19 and 20 in the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in capital Brasilia, and later on July 18 and 19, host Venezuelan in the Minerinho gymnasium in Belo Horizonte.

According to Bernardinho, the Brazilian team will go through a renovation process in 2009. Brasilia, Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte will have the opportunity to see their home team play and cheer them on.

The finals of this year's World League will be held on the 22nd through the 26th of July. Top teams of the four groups qualify for the finals, along with the host country and one other team yet to be announced by the sport's world governing body FIVB.
