Craftsman Wang Jianjiang shows the imperial robe on June 17, 2009. Recently, Wang Jialiang Weaving Studio in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, has reproduced an imperial robe unearthed in Dingling of the Ming Tombs. Six jins (three kilograms) of colorful silk threads, 100,000 meters of golden silk threads and more than 6,000 peacock feathers were used. It took six embroiderers about three years to complete this magnificent robe. [Li Xiaohua/China.org.cn]
