Memorial service held for Air France flight victims

| Friends and family members of Air France flight 447 crash victims take part in a memorial service at the Church of Candelaria. A floating debris field located some 600 miles from the Brazilian coastline has been confirmed as that of the flight. The jet mysteriously disappeared upon entering a stormy patch of sky while en-route from Rio to Paris killing all 228 on board. While speculation concerning a possible lightning strike abounds, officials are still puzzled over the events that led to the crash. [CFP] |
