From September 22, a wax figure exhibition with the theme of recalling memories of the past opened to the public for more than four months in the China International Hi-tech Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing.

Visitors now have the chance of a close-up look at the wax figures of 159 famous people who have made notable contributions to human history, including NBA star Yao Ming, and Michael Phelps, winner of eight medals in the Beijing Olympics.

The 159 figures are divided into five sections. The fifth section is filled with the atmosphere of the Olympics. It features 42 Olympic celebrities, including those who have made significant contributions to the modern Olympics, such as Olympic Committee Presidents Coubertin, Samaranch and Rogge, and sports stars Michael Jordan, Lennox Lewis, David Beckham, Deng Yaping, Yao Ming and Michael Phelps, who won eight medals in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
