Hong Kong-based singer-actor Edison Chen will release his new Mandarin album by this Christmas, after a three-year break from the limelight, Sohu.com reports.

With this album, entitled "Mr. Sandman", Edison Chen is officially launching his comeback journey. Chen announced an "indefinite" break from the Hong Kong showbiz industry in 2008, after a sex photo scandal broke out involving Chen and several of his girlfriends.

Edison Chen wrote almost all the lyrics of his new album, hoping to tell fans about his development over the past three years. Taiwan pop king Jay Chou wrote a piece called "I Can Fly" ("Wo Ke Yi") for Chen, which will be part of the new album.
