Performers dressed as cloth dolls sowed the seeds of brightness in the chapter Sowing at the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games on Wednesday.
Performers dressed like cloth dolls representing different countries and regions followed a senior actress to the center of the stage.
The children started to joyfully pick the stars and sow them into the soil, which brought them eternal brightness.
When one of them picked the largest and brightest star, colorful glitters were on an envelop on the meadow, which had appeared in the previous chapter Red Leaves of Fragrant Hill.
The children put their dreams and hopes into a letter to the future.
Music changing, a group of girls with tree-shaped headgears streamed onto the meadow, symbolizing a river in the following chapter of Watering.
The beautiful river flew on the green meadow, watering the seeds just strewn by those cloth dolls. In China, people like to impersonate the Yellow River and Yangtze River as mother, which embodies the harmony between people and nature in Chinese philosophy.
The girls became more joyous reading the letter of hope while the whole meadow turned into full blossom in many different colors.
Paralympic Games athletes and spectators sent postcards in the last chapter of the art performance.
"The spectators will have postcards specially printed for this closing ceremony so these cards will be unique and valuable," said general director Zhang Yimou before the ceremony.
"After they write on these postcards, we will help mail them out," he added.
