Evan O'Hanlon of Australia claimed gold and a new world record with the time of 10.96 seconds in the Men's 100m T38 in the Bird's Nest on Friday, September 12. China's Zhou Wenjun and Ukraine's Mykyta Senyk took silver and bronze, clocking 11.14 and 11.18 seconds, respectively.
Earlier in the morning, Ukraine's Alla Malchyk also claimed a world record win with a throw of 9.33 meters (1048 points) in the Women's Shot Put final. Silver and bronze went to Wu Qing of China (1025) and Renata Chilewska of Poland (992).
Later in the Women's 200m - T38 heats, Ukraine's Inna Dyachenko and Tunisia's Sonia Mansour set a new world record, stopping the clocking at exactly the same time of 27.93 seconds. Both athletes qualified as top seeds for tonight's final.
