China's Dong Zhi will compete against Mongolia's Baatarjav Dambadondog (MGL) in the other quarterfinal. Dong beat Tomasz Lezanski (POL), 108-102 in the 1-8 elimination round and Dambadondog clobbered Mick Beard (GBR), 104-91.
Those other quarterfinal's will focus on Mario Esposito from Germany (GER) who will duel Spain's Miguel Juan Zarzuela and Thai Sakon Inkaew who stand up against France' Fabrice Meunier.
Men's Individual Compound - Open quarterfinal
In one of the more anticipated matches, the world record holder John Stubbs (GBR) will take on pre-competition favorite Canadian Kevin Evans.
Stubbs broke the Paralympic Games record in the 1-8 elimination match against Eric Bennett of Team USA, which he won 117-114. Evans startled Pavlo Nazar (UKR), 110-109.
In some other quarterfinals Alberto Simonelli (ITA) will face Jiri Klich (CZE). Joe Bailey (USA) will take on T J Pemberton (USA) and Ireland's Martin Sean Heary (IRL) will play Philippe Horner (SUI).
Women's Individual Recurve - Standing quarterfinal
Lindsey Carmichael (USA) will take on Kim Ki-hee (KOR) in what promises to be a close match. Carmichael recovered from a weak start against Magali Comte (SUI) in the 1-8 elimination round to qualify for the quarterfinals.
China's hopes will be pinned on Gao Fangxia who will play Greece' (GRE) Anna Tzika in the quarterfinals.
In another set of matches Malgorzata Olejnik (POL) will measure Brigitte Duboc (FRA) and Eliane Otten-Salden of the Netherlands (NED) will hook up with Lee Hwa-sook (KOR).
Women's Individual Recurve - W1/W2 quarterfinal
Top seed Xiao Yanhong (CHN) is slated to encounter Japan's Saitoh Ayako in the quarterfinal. Xiao dissolved Maria Droste (GER), 91-66, in the 1-8 elimination round.
Turkey's Gizem Girismen will tangle with Ukraine's Roksolana Dzoba. Girismen impressed in the earlier round, harnessing Lenka Kuncova (CZE), 103:85.
In other matches Japanese athlete Aya Nakanishi will step in with France' Chantell du Maufras and Cao Xuerong of China will draw compatriot FuHongzhi.
