Sitting Volleyball Day 6 Preview: Semifinals open with Netherlands vs. US

Semifinal rounds start with favourite Netherlands and USA matching up at 10:00 at the CAU Gymnasium on Friday.

Netherlands vs. United States (Women)

- The Netherlands won all its matches at these Paralympics so far.

- Karin van der Haar-Kramp performed as the Netherlands' best spiker.

- In the preliminary round, the United States beat Latvia and Lithuania 3-0, but lost to China in straight sets on Tuesday.

Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Egypt (Men)

- Bosnia and Herzegovina lost its first set against Russia on Wednesday.

- Bosnia and Herzegovina is the best scoring blocker team at this tournament.

- Egypt beat Brazil and Japan 3-0, then lost 0-3 to Iran.

China vs. Slovenia (Women)

- China beat favorite United States on Tuesday 3-0.

- The host team did not drop a single set so far.

- Experienced Sheng Yuhong of China is the top scorer of the tournament.

- Slovenia lost to the Netherlands 0-3 in the preliminary rounds.

Iran vs. Russia (Men)

- Iran won all its matches 3-0.

- Isa Zirahi and Davood Alipourian of Iran are the two best spikers of the tournament with an efficacy of 37.50 percent and 32.45 percent.

- Russia lost its last preliminary round match to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday.

- Viktor Milenin of Russia is the best scorer of the Men's tournament with 53 points.
