Denmark finishes in top four in Women's Goalball
Adjust font size:

Denmark has come a long way to ensure a place in the semifinals of Women's Goalball with a 2-1 win over Japan at the Beijing Institute of Technology Gymnasium on Wednesday, September 10.

Japan lost the encounter after playing excellent defensive Goalball for most of the match. The difference between the two teams was two penalties given up by Japan in the first half.

Lykke Vedsted made no mistake with either one, for a 2-0 lead at half time.

Japan scored in the second half, thanks to Komiya Masae, but could not penetrate Denmark's defense in the final minutes. Japan remains winless in the tournament after four games.
