In the women's final of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Wheelchair Basketball International Invitational Tournament held at the National Indoor Stadium, Canada's Hai Poon hit one of two free throws with one second left in the game to help her team win the title.

Canada, Athens Paralympic champion, lost to Germany in OT in the preliminary rounds, but on Friday, they didn't give their counterparts the opportunity to head into overtime.
Canada led 16-11 after the first quarter. Germany didn't want to give up early, so they set a 8-3 run to tie the score at 19 all before they moved ahead 31-24 at the end of the half.
Canada managed to cut the deficit to two points, 33-31, five minutes into the third quarter, but Germany continued to set the pace of the game. The score was 39-38 before the start of the last period.

The score was tied again at 45-45 in the fourth quarter and 50 all with one minute remaining. It was Canada's Hai Poon who was fouled with one second left till the end of the match. Under this immense pressure, the athlete hit one of two free throws to grab the win for her team, 51-50.
