10,000 lucky people will have the chance to gain a free ticket to visit public areas in the Olympic Park during the Games, according to the Area's official organizing committee.

10,000 lucky people will have the chance to gain a free ticket to visit public areas in the Olympic Park during the Games, according to the Area's official organizing committee.

At a press conference Thursday morning, the organizing committee said the Public Area do not include the competition venues, but is located at the center of the Olympic park. 15 events will be held in ten arenas around the area, and athletes will receive 137 gold medals in those venues. A variety of Chinese cultural activities will take place during the Olympic Games.

Visitors can see plays at the Xiangyun Theater, take photos with Fuwa mascots and buy souvenirs. And those without tickets will have the opportunity to have a look at the public area in the Beijing Olympic Park for free.
