208 torchbearers ran through the city on Sunday. The 28-kilometer relay route passed several cultural landmarks and historic sites. These included Wuyi Square, Three Hills and Two Pagodas, Three Alleys and Seven Lanes, Luoxing Tower and Taijiang Dock.
After about an 11-hour relay, a grand ceremony was held at Wanglongtai Park, a major scenic area facing the Min River.

The Fujian legs of the torch relay will cover a total of about 96 kilometers in all. The next stop in the province will be the coastal city of Quanzhou.
