In Canada, over 2,000 Chinese and international students have gathered on Parliament Hill in Ottawa to participate in the "Beijing-Vancouver Olympics Run".
Carrying Canada's Maple Leaf flags and China's five-star red flags the students ran about two kilometers from Parliament Hill to Major's Hill Park. They expressed their support for the Beijing Olympic Games as well as the 2010 Winter Olympic Games to be hosted by the city of Vancouver.
A Chinese student said, "As a Chinese student in Canada, I am very proud that my country will host the Olympics."
A Canadian student said, "I fully support the Olympics. I was very pleased about this."
A Canadian resident said, "I am here to support the Beijing Olympic Games. One world, one dream."
