There are only nine days before the start of the Beijing Olympic Games. The Olympic torch has just finished its journey through the coastal city of Qinhuangdao in north China's Hebei Province.
The torch relay kicked off in Laolongtou on Wednesday morning. The first torchbearer was two-time world table tennis champion Xi Enting, who is 62-years-old. A total of 208 torch bearers took part in the 7 kilometres relay. Among them was Li Fang, who was the coach of China's "Diving Queen", Guo Jingjing.
Today's leg in Qinhuangdao concluded as the last torchbearer, Wang Santang, lit the cauldron at the Olympic Avenue Park. The flame will then head to Tangshan on Thursday, its last stop in Hebei Province.
