"The sacred flame delivers Olympic sprit as well as the hard-working spirit of Three Gorges constructors," said torch bearer Cao Guangjing in the Olympic torch relay Yichang leg, central China's Hubei Province on Sunday.

As the deputy general manager of the China Yangtze Three Gorges Project Corporation (CTGPC), Cao is the last torch bearer as a representative of numerous constructors from China's Three Gorges Project, the largest one in the world.

"It is a great honour for all constructors that the Olympic flame was lit on the gigantic Three Gorges Dam. Olympics give expression to the ceaseless courage while facing challenges, which is the same as the hard-working sprit from the Three Gorges constructors," said Cao.

This expert devoted himself for 18 years in building the project and witnessed all the engineering demonstration, programming and construction of the great project.

"The Three Gorges is also the Olympics in hydropower and water conservancy project, which embodies advanced technologies of this field and collects the top talents, equipment manufacturers, creating a miracle in the world's history of water conservancy project," he added.

As for the earthquake that struck southwestern China's Sichuan Province, Cao said he was greatly moved by the unity and never-say-die sprit of the whole nation.

"As long as we have this sprit, I have confidence the quake survivors will stand up with courage and keep moving again for bright future!"
