The torch relay for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games has wrapped up day 2 in Greece. It went through five cities. It cooncided with Greece's national holiday.

In the city of Messologi, Takis Papachristos started the second day of the relay at Hero's Tomb. The torch also went through Agrinio, Amfilochia, Menidi, Arta and Ioannina. All the cities welcomed the flame with impressive ceremonies. The torch next heads for Metsovo, Grevena, Kozani, Veria today.
