World champion Yang Wei has set his eyes on the all-round gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games after he made his successful title defence at the Stuttgart gymnastics world championships on Friday.
"I'm dreaming of that (gold medal of Olympic Games) very much," Yang Wei said after he won the all-around gold medal despite a fall from the horizontal bar.
"I'm not over excited (with the gold medal), because this is not gold medal of the Olympic Games," he said.
Three years ago in the Athens Olympic Games, Yang Wei, then the top favorite in the men's all-around, dropped from the horizontal bar, losing the gold medal he had dreamed of.
However, the veteran gymnast was still cautious on the Beijing Olympic Games next year.
"The results of next year can only be known till next year, you know, the competition is ruthless," he said.
On Friday's all-round competition, Yang scored 93.675 points, 1.475 higher than runner-up, German gymnast Fabian Hambuechen.
Yang said he was satisfied with his performance in the Stuttgart championships, for which has laid down a solid foundation for next year's games.
