Following the lead of BIMC Deputy Director Zhu Shouchen, who kicked off the event, journalists queued to leave their handprints on the canvas. "It's a real honor to get to leave my mark on this canvas," said Jin Lidong, a reporter from the China Business Herald.

The scroll will not only record the realization of a hundred year dream of the Chinese people to host the Olympics, but also offer journalists from five continents a chance to record impressions of their trip to China.

The unique canvas with its thousands of handprints and messages will be donated to the Beijing Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium.
