Eight retired Chinese athletes and coaches will carry the Olympic Flag in the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games.

Pan Duo, former mountaineer of Tibetan nationality

Zheng Fengrong, former track and field athlete

Yang Yang, former short track speed skater

Yang Ling, former shooter

Mu Xiangxiong, former swimmer, coach

Xiong Ni, former diver

Li Lingwei, former badminton player
