Top DPRK legislator leaves for Beijing

Top legislator of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) left Pyongyang Thursday morning for Beijing to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

Kim Yong Nam, president of the presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, wished the Beijing Olympics held successfully, as he departed Pyongyang Sunan international airport.

Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, and Liu Xiaoming, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, were present there to see off Kim Yong Nam.
