Adjust font size:

China's Yu Zaiqing is running for the election of vice president of the International Olympic Committee.

Yu, an incumbent IOC executive board member, is the only candidate for the post left vacant by Sweden's Gunilla Lindberg, IOC's director of communications Giselle Davies told a press conference.

Lindberg's term has come to an end.

Meanwhile, seven IOC members are running for six seats available on the 15-member executive board, the most powerful body of the Olympic Movement.
