An Zhonglin is riding his special bicycle in Beijing. [Beijing Times] |
An Zhonglin, a Tianjin native, rode a bicycle built of five Olympic rings from Tianjin to Beijing yesterday (August 17). The trip took him eight hours, leaving at 1:00 am and arriving at 9:00 am.
An, an experienced repairer of imported bicycles, transformed the bicycle's triangular frame into three rings and installed screens broadcasting Olympic pictures and music in one of the rings.
He plans to stay in Beijing for three days with his son, and then donate his bicycle to the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.
